Emotional Abuse: When They Don't Hit But Still Destroy

Bruises heal in a week. But words can wound for years.
Emotional abuse is when they don't hit you but break you with words, looks, silence, and manipulation. It's when your mind becomes a battlefield, and the weapons are belittling, criticism, control, isolation, and gaslighting.
Many think: 'If they don't hit me, it's not abuse.' But emotional abuse can be even more damaging than physical abuse because the scars aren't visible. You can't show a bruise and say, 'Look, they hit me.' You just feel like you're losing your mind, losing yourself, forgetting who you are and what you're worth.
