Financial Abuse: When Money Becomes a Tool of Control

He doesn't hit. He just doesn't give you money. And you find yourself in a cage you can't see.
Financial abuse is when money is used to control. He earns and doesn't give you access to the accounts. Or you work, and he takes your paycheck. Or he monitors every purchase. Or the opposite—he doesn't work, you support him, and he threatens to leave if you stop. Either way, money is a weapon. And you're the target.
Many don't consider this abuse. They think: well, he's the head of the family. He knows more about finances. I agreed to it myself. But if you can't spend a hundred rubles without his permission, if you don't know how much is in your joint account, if you're afraid to say you bought yourself a coffee—that's not a family budget. That's a prison.
