Single Parent Burnout: When There's No One to Take Over

You're the first one up, the last one down, and there's no point in that chain where you can hand the child to another adult and just breathe. Meanwhile, everyone around you is sure that exhaustion is cured by rest. Burnout in a parent who holds everything alone works differently, and it has to be addressed with concrete steps, not pep talks.
When There's No One to Take Over
The difference between "it's hard" and "there's no one to hand off to" is enormous. In a two-parent family, even an imperfect partner gives you at least a shift: an hour, an evening, a day off. When there's no shift, the load never pauses.
