Codependency
Healthy Attachment vs Codependency. What’s the Difference

One gives you wings. The other chains you down.
People often mix up codependency with love. They think: if I’m anxious, then I love. If I sacrifice, then it’s serious. If I can’t live without him, then he’s my destiny. But that’s not true. Codependency masks itself as love. And telling them apart can be really tricky, especially if you’ve never seen a healthy relationship.
Healthy attachment is when two people choose to stay together. Each person is whole. Each has their own life, interests, and friends. They share with each other but don’t dissolve into each other. They support but don’t rescue. They argue but don’t destroy.
