Boundaries
Boundaries with Parents: How to Stop Being the Compliant Child

You're thirty, but deep inside, there's still a child afraid of hearing mom's "how could you do this to me."
Parents are the ones who set your first boundaries. Or failed to. And now that you're an adult, they still move through your life as if it were their own apartment. They call at any time. They criticize your choices. They decide where you should go, who you should date, and how to raise your kids. And you let them. Because they're your parents. Because "they meant well." Because blaming your parents feels terrifying.
But setting boundaries with your parents isn't about revenge. It's not "I hate you, leave me alone." It's simply growing up. It's acknowledging that you're a separate person, with your own life and your own rules. And that you have the right to personal space, even with your mom.
