Procrastination Is Not Laziness: How to Stop Putting Things Off

You know the task matters. You can even picture where to start. And still you don't begin: you open your phone, go make tea, suddenly remember the cleaning. By evening, that heavy "I did nothing again" settles in.
This isn't laziness. Laziness is when you genuinely don't care and don't want to do anything at all. With procrastination, you do care: you want to do it, you're angry at yourself, and you still can't start. That's a huge difference, and it shapes what actually helps.
If you look for the cause in your character, you can spend years fighting yourself and get nowhere. If you see a feeling behind the delay, you get a direction to work with — and it's far more honest than another promise to "get your act together."
