Imposter Syndrome: When You Feel You Don’t Deserve Success

You’re sitting at your desk, thinking: any moment now, they’ll figure out I don’t really know what I’m doing.
Imposter syndrome is when you’ve achieved success but can’t believe it’s truly yours. You think: I just got lucky. They just haven’t caught on yet. Soon, everyone will realize I’m worthless. And then I’ll lose everything.
This isn’t humility. It’s fear. The fear of being exposed. You could be an expert with a decade of experience. You might have diplomas, awards, glowing reviews. But deep down, you still feel like a kid who accidentally landed an adult job, waiting for someone to say, “Alright, time to leave—you don’t belong here.”
