Self-esteem
Inflated Ego. When Confidence Is a Mask

You shout about your own greatness because there is an emptiness inside that you are afraid to face.
An inflated ego isn't the same as actually being impressive. It's when you have to be impressive, or else you don't exist. It's not confidence. It's a mask hiding fear. The fear of being nobody. The fear of rejection. The fear of admitting that you're just as human, with just as many flaws.
Someone with healthy self-esteem knows their strengths and accepts their weaknesses. They don't fear making mistakes. They're not terrified of being exposed. Someone with an inflated ego is afraid of that more than anything. That's why they shout. Brag. Put others down. Create an illusion of infallibility.
